COLUMBIA, Md. (WMAR) - Howard County Police are investigating a parking garage crash that critically injured a 60-year-old man.
Police responded to the first floor of a parking garage in the 10400 block of Little Patuxent Parkway just after 7:00 p.m. for reports of the crash.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the driver of an Acura MDX, Shmuel Yaakov Kleiner, was driving on the first floor of the parking garage when he hopped over a curb and struck a concrete support post head-on.
Kleiner was flown to Shock Trauma in critical condition.
Police are looking into the possibility that Kleiner may have suffered some type of a medical emergency just prior to the collision.
