Landscaper dies as tree falls to the ground

CLARKSVILLE, Md. (WMAR) -  

A landscaper has died after a fall with a tree in Clarksville Tuesday. 
 
Officers responded to the 8500 block of Reservoir Road at about 10:00 a.m. Once they arrived, they found Michael Joseph Dingle, 40, the owner of Natural Way Design and Landscaping in Catonsville, unconscious and not breathing. 
 
Police say Dingle was attached to the tree with rigging and had aready successfully removed the top portion of the tree when tragedy struck. While Dingle was still attached, the tree completely uprooted causing him to fall about 50 feet. 
 
Dingle was pronounced dead a short time later at Howard County General Hospital.
