Laurel, Md - Howard County firefighters along with Montgomery and Prince George's firefighters knocked down a fast moving garage fire that forced a family to escape late Sunday night from their home.
The fire started a little before midnight Sunday night in the 10300 block of Scaggsville Road. Fire investigators say they say flames and smoke barreling through the home's 3-car garage.
Fire crews kept the fire from spreading into the remainder of the home. Approximately 35 firefighters from Howard, Prince George's, and Montgomery counties worked for approximately 25 minutes to knock down the fire.
The homeowners escaped the house before firefighters arrived and were not injured.
The fire remains under investigation.
