HIGHLAND, Md. (WMAR) - Howard County officials are trying to figure out what caused a crash that sent two people to the hospital.
At about 3:00 p.m. emergency personnel responded to Route 108 just east of the Montgomery County Line for the accident. The preliminary information suggests that the driver of a Chevrolet Aveo was traveling eastbound on Route 108, when she crossed over the double yellow lines.
The Aveo collided head-on with a GMC Yukon that was traveling westbound.
Both drivers and sole occupants were flown to Shock Trauma where they are listed in stable condition.
Police believe failure to drive right of the center as the primary cause of the crash.
