COLUMBIA, Md. (WMAR) - More than one dozen people are without somewhere to call home after a fire rips through a Columbia apartment building Saturday evening.
The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services says the fire broke out at 10:00 p.m. in the 5200 block of Rivendell Lane.
Once firefighters arrived on the scene, they spotted fire shooting from the roof and the third floor of the building.
The fire engulfed several apartments and eventually spread into a neighboring building. The buildings were beat up pretty badly, but no one was hurt.
