ELKRIDGE, Md. - Maryland officials and business leaders will be highlighting the importance of cybersecurity.
Gov. Martin O'Malley will join leaders in business, higher education and government at CyberCore Technologies in Elkridge on Thursday to kick off National Cybersecurity Awareness Month in Maryland.
They will be dedicating a new logistics center and lab at CyberCore. The company provides information technology services to the federal government and intelligence community.
O'Malley has said he wants to make Maryland the "Silicon Valley of cyber security ." He wants to put the state out front in developing an industry focused on securing computer systems from tampering.
