COLUMBIA, Md. (WMAR) - Howard County Police are trying to figure out what caused a crash that killed a 42-year-old Columbia woman.
Police responded to the 5600 block of High Tor Hill around 9:30 p.m. for a report of a truck that hit a tree. The investigation revealed that Michele Lorenz was driving south on High Tor Hill when the truck left the roadway and hit a tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe speed and failure to drive within a single lane may have been factors in the crash. Lorenz was also not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
