EDGEWOOD, Md. (WMAR) -
Maryland State Police are trying to figure out how a woman ended up dead in a motel room.
Troopers responded to the Edgewood Motel in the 2200 block of Pulaski Highway in Edgewood at about 1:00 p.m. this afternoon for reports of an unresponsive woman.
When troopers arrived they found 33-year-old Melissa Marie Miceli of Havre de Grace, unconscious in her room.
Paramedics pronounced Miceli dead on the scene. Troopers found several personnel items in the hotel room including the victim's purse, wallet and miscellaneous clothing.
At this time, police do not believe foul play was involved in Meceli's death, but they are awaiting autopsy results.
