FALLSTON, Md. - Last year six puppies were found abandoned in a taped-up box in a dumpster. Luckily a garbage truck driver just happened to be taking a cigarette break near the dumpster and heard their moans.
It’s been a year since those puppies were found and taken to the Fallston Animal Rescue Movement (FARM). They’re now all healthy and have been adopted into loving homes.
Although those dogs had a happy ending, many may not fare so well because of struggling animal rescue shelter budgets.
This Saturday, September 17th, the Fallston Animal Rescue Movement is hosting “Wag Your Tail…It’s time for Ale,” a fundraiser to support FARM and other animals like the dumpster puppies.
The event will be held at the Steppingstone Museum in Havre de Grace and will include live music, face painting, a moon bounce, a raffle, and more. The cost is $15 for adults, $8 for 12 to 21-year-olds, $5 for kids under 11. Dogs can attend for free.
RSVP to (410) 671-PLAY and visit http://www.bestfriendsfurever.com/ for more information.
