ABERDEEN, Md. (WMAR) - Fire officials are trying to figure out what sparked a house fire that two dogs were rescued from.
Just after 5:00 p.m., firefighters responded to the 1100 block of Montreal Drive in Aberdeen for reports of a fire. While they were still en route, the received multiple 911 calls reporting that occupants were still inside the burning home.
Once on the scene they found smoke showing from a split level wood frame home.
It was quickly determined that all occupants were safely accounted for and outside.
As firefighters advanced into the home, they found two dogs inside and were able to get them out safely.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal is still trying to figure out the cause and origin of the fire.
There were no reported injuries.
