BEL AIR - Towson University is expanding its campus -- all the way to Harford County.
The school is opening a satellite building right across the street from Harford Community College.
The project has been in the works for years, and the plans for the new building are now approved.
Students will be able to begin college at Harford Community College and then easily transition to complete their degree at Towson.
Despite the partnership, the new building is all about Towson.
“Everything about the building will be about Towson University,” said Harford Community College spokesman Stephen Garey. “All instructors, curriculum, books… all Towson University.
Construction on the new Towson building is expected to start soon. The project is expected to be complete in time for classes to start in the fall of 2014.
