BEL AIR, Md. (WMAR) - A 14-year-old Patterson Mill High School student is under investigation after he told other students that he was going to bring a gun to school and shoot people.
Police say the student was sitting with several others in the lunch room and stated that he wanted to bring the gun in and shoot people in the school and that his dad had a weapon.
The students reported the incident to the school administration who in turn notified the school resource officer. The officer interviewed the student who made the comments who said that he didn't really mean it and that he did it for attention.
The officer spoke with the teens mother who stated that there were no weapons in the house.
No charges were filed against the student.
