One dies in single-vehicle crash

ABERDEEN, Md. (WMAR) - A driver is dead following a single-vehicle accident on Pulaski Highway Saturday afternoon.

Maryland State Police say the crash happened on Route 40 at Mitchell Lane around 12:40 p.m.

The driver of the car died at the scene, and police report no other injuries.

Route 40 eastbound is expected to be shut down between Route 543 and Spesutia Road until around 4:00 p.m.

The victim is not expected to be identified until next of kin is made aware of the death.
