Harford County proposes sidewalk improvements

Officials in Harford County have introduced a new bicycle and pedestrian plan they hope can be a starting point for improving access to community activity centers, neighborhood-to-neighborhood travel and educational facilities.

In its draft stage, the plan provides a list of potential projects, but officials admit it does not cover the complete scope of projects and improvements needed. The first steps recommended are a series of studies and public input sessions.

Recommended improvements in the draft plan include but are not limited to new sidewalks where sidewalks are lacking and spot improvements of sidewalks.
