BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford County Sherriff’s Office announced funeral services for Sgt. Ian Loughran will be held on Wednesday, September 17 in Joppa.

Loughran, who was 43, died early Thursday morning. According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, the officer had a heart attack during the funeral for another officer.

In a press release issued Thursday, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said Sgt. Loughran began to suffer symptoms of a heart attack on Wednesday during the funeral of Cpl. Charles Licato. Officals say Loughran died at his home Thursday, sometime after midnight.

Loughran was a 16-year veteran of the Harford County Sheriff's Office. He was married and had one child.

The death is the third of a Harford County law enforcement officer in a week.

                                           Funeral arrangements for Sgt. Ian  Loughran:

A viewing will be held at  McComas Funeral Home, located at 1317 Cokesbury Rd  in Abingdon on Monday September 17 and Tuesday September 18  from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.


The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain Christian Church located at 1824 Mountain Road in Joppa.
