BEL AIR, Md. (WMAR) - Baltimore Gas and Electric crews are headed to Bel Air to repair a major power outage.
According to the company's website , there are nearly 3,000 power outages in the downtown Bel Air area.
BGE reports that the probable cause is equipment damage.
Harford County Fire and EMS posted the following to their Facebook page around 3:00 p.m.:
A large portion of downtown Bel Air along the Baltimore Pike corridor is without power . BGE is aware and working on the situation. More to follow as it develops.
BGE has posted an estimated restoration time as 7:30 p.m.
