ELKTON, Md. -
A CSX train derailed early this morning near Singerly Road. That's about an hour away from Baltimore.
Firefighters with the Singerly Fire Department were the first to respond to the derailment that happened in the deep woods off Singerly Road.
A CSX train heading to North Carolina derailed and 10 cars came off the track at around midnight.
Two of the cars were carrying sulfuric acid. A Hazmat crew was called to the scene, but found no leak.
Singerly Road (Route 213) was shut down in both directions, but is now open.
