UNION BRIDGE, Md. (WMAR) - A cement worker is recovering after being run over by a skid loader.
Just after 2:00 p.m., Carroll County Sheriff's Deputies responded to reports of an injured man at Lehigh Portland Cement Company on Quaker Hill Road in Union Bridge.
The man, 46-year-old Steve Fleming, was repairing equipment underneath a conveyer beld in the yard area of the plant when a skid loader reportedly backed over top of him.
Feming was taken to Shock Trauma where he remains in serious condition.
Sheriff's investigators and the Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Administration are examining the events that lead to the accident.
