WESTMINSTER, Md. (WMAR) - A 2-year-old boy is in critical condition after a riding lawn mower overturns Sunday morning.
Carroll County rescue crews were called to the 600 block of Jasontown Road in Westminster around 11:20 a.m.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Department says a man was on a riding mower with his 2-year-old grandson when the tractor crossed an embankment and flipped into a stream.
The toddler was briefly trapped in shallow water underneath the mower.
Rescue crews had to resuscitate the child and transport him to Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
