Mistrial during murder trial jury selection

A judge declared a mistrial during jury selection in the case of a man and his two sons, who are accused of killing a man outside a bar.

 

   Carroll County Circuit Judge Michael Galloway granted the defense's motion for a mistrial Monday. A new panel will be summoned this week. 

 

   Galloway declared the mistrial after a juror said he could not be impartial because he was a chaplain at the detention center where the defendants are held.

 

   Fifty-three-year-old John Robey and his sons, 21-year-old Jonathan Robey and 23-year-old Thomas Robey, are charged with second-degree murder in the death of 26-year-old Craig Myers of Rocky Ridge.

 

   Myers was found unresponsive outside the Crossroads Inn in Keymar, on Aug. 28, 2011. He died days later.
