Funds raised to fight domestic violence

WESTMINSTER, Md. -  

Over a hundred men donned high heels in Westminster Saturday to take a stand against domestic abuse.

Their sore feet are part of the 4 th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser sponsored by the Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County. The fathers, husbands, sons, brothers and friends gathered at Dutterer Family Park and walked to Westminster Family Park in pumps of all colors and sizes to help raise awareness and money to end violence against women.

Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County (RCIS) is a Private Non-Profit Agency serving Carroll County, Maryland, since 1978. RCIS provides free counseling and support services to victims of sexual violence and their families.
