Officials with the Baltimore County Police Department say an ambulance was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on Route 140 Wednesday.

The ambulance was from Carroll County and was responding to another accident on 140. Officials say as it was coming down, a car in the traffic from the first accident tried to turn around and hit the ambulance.

The driver of that car wound up going to Carroll Hospital Center with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Officials say the two people in the ambulance were unharmed.
