CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Students, faculty and staff at the University of Virginia will hold a day long discussion about violence, violence prevention and campus safety in September.
President Teresa A. Sullivan says the beginning of a new academic year is an opportunity to continue a discussion that began following the slaying of U.Va. lacrosse player Yeardley Love of Cockeysville, Maryland.
Love was found dead in her apartment May 3. Her ex-boyfriend and fellow lacrosse player, George Huguely of Chevy Chase, Maryland, is charged with murder.
The university says the "Day of Dialogue" will be held September 24. The schedule hasn't been finalized.
