DUNDALK, Md. (WMAR) -

Baltimore County Fire crews are trying to figure out what sparked a fire in a Dundalk home.

At about 5:40 p.m., crews responded to the 200 block of Ashwood Road for reports of a single family home on fire.

First arriving units found heavy fire coming from the rear of the home, and started to make an interior attack when the second floor was engulfed in flames.

Crews were immediately removed from the dwelling for exterior operations only.  At about 6:45 p.m. it was determined that the fir was knocked and firefighters continued to work from the exterior of the building to contain the fire.

It was reported that the fire was discovered by two children that were home at the time of the fire. One of the children went to the rear of the residence and noticed a fire along the back wall.

The two children then got out of the home and 911 was called by a neighbor who was out walking their dog.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The cause an origin of the fire is still under investigation.
