TIMONIUM, Md. - Turkeys sliding down a grocery store aisle isn't something you see everyday. But that's what people saw at the Shop-Rite in Timonium Monday.
It's all to benefit area food banks.
Bowlers took turns throwing turkeys down the aisle into toilet paper rolls.
The bowlers were divided into two teams. One represented the Baltimore area. The other represented DC.
Teams consisted of players from the Baltimore Blast, managers at Shop-Rite and representatives from the Capital & Maryland Food Banks.
The Baltimore team won in the turkey bowling, but both food banks were the biggest winners.
Both Food Banks will get enough turkey dinners to feed 400 people.
