COCKEYSVILLE, MARYLAND - One of the most private of local employers opened its doors to the public today including Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz.
He toured the facility of one of the nation's leading defense contractors the AAI Corporation in Hunt Valley.
Globally, AAI is a leader in aerospace and defense technology. Locally, it's one of the county's largest employers.
Over 1,600 hundred work at the facility, designing and manufacturing the cutting edge of military devices.
At a time when jobs are scarce, AAI has already hired about 300 new employees just this year. There are still 81 jobs to be filled, most of which are engineers and analysts, highly skilled jobs.
Kamenetz hopes this translates into continued job growth for AAI and Baltimore County.
