PARKTON, Md. (WMAR) - Maryland State Police responded to calls of a motorcycle crash on I-83 North around 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, near the York Road exit in Parkton Maryland.
Upon trooper arrival, an investigation revealed that a white motorcycle, driven by 19-year-old Kareem Morsi, was trying to pass two cars in separate lanes, by driving in-between them.
Morsi hit the back of one of the vehicles, lost control, and then slid onto the right shoulder.
The motorcycle slid down the shoulder of the road and hit a guardrail, which separated the 19-year-old from the vehicle.
State Police say that Morsi then slid under the guardrail and down an embankment while the motorcycle continued in motion, driverless.
Witnesses on the scene said that Morsi’s driving was erratic and aggressive before the crash.
Morsi was from Woodbine Maryland.
