ROSEDALE, Md. (WMAR) - A 23-year-old motorcycle rider died Wednesday evening after crashing into a vehicle and being thrown from his bike on I-95 while racing another bike.
According to Maryland Transportation Authority Police, two sport bikes were racing each other on Interstate 95 around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
At mile marker 61.2 right by the Baltimore City/County line in Rosedale, one of the sport bike riders crashed after hitting another vehicle. The rider, Carl Hubble Stilwell, III, was thrown from his bike.
Stilwell, 23, was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma where he were pronounced dead.
The other biker fled the scene of the crash.
Police believe the other driver hold the key to what happened prior to Stilwell's death and would like to speak to him, however, they need your help to find him. Witnesses described the other driver as an adult black male with dreadlocks and driving a red and black sport bike.
