Restaurant week deemed successful

The Baltimore County Restaurant Week has proven successful. 

 

Restaurant week ran for 17 days in January and with more than half of the 44 participating restaurants completing a follow-up survey, results indicate an 11% increase in total average sales during the week. 

 

The survey also shows a 25% rise in new customer traffic and a 98% favorable response to particiapte again in August and next January. 

 

During Restaurant Week, County restaurants featured special menues and discounted specials. 

 

"We definitely experienced an increase in our business during Restaurant Week," said Michael Vellegia, general manager at Towson Tavern. "This was a terrific promotion for the Towson area as well as the entire Baltimore County region. We saw a lot of new faces, and only wished Restaurant Week could last longer!"
