EDGEMERE, Md. -

Three Baltimore County police officers pulled a trapped man from  his burning  truck just before it became fully engulfed in flames, police said.

Around 2:20 Saturday morning police were called to the intersection of North Point Boulevard and Bethlehem Boulevard for a report of a crash. When officers arrived they found a man trapped inside a Ford truck that had smashed into a light support pole. The truck was on fire and officers managed to pull the man to safety before the truck was consumed by the flames, police said.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Shock Trauma in critical condition.
