Baltimore County Police identified the victims in deadly weekend crash on Route 40.
Police say Emil Antonia Ledesma Vargas, 29 and Josseline Rico Hernandez , 25, died in the single car crash on Route 40 and Martin Boulevard on Saturday morning.
Investigators found that a 2013 Ford Mustang was going east on Pulaski Highway at a high rate of speed when it drove onto the raised concrete media and struck a sign post and a pillar supporting the Martin Boulevard overpass. The car then flipped over and slid to a stop.
The driver, 22-year-old Jorge Estrada was taken to Shock Trauma. He was issued citations for alcohol related traffic offenses. A third passenger, a 25-year-old male was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and will be reviewed by the State's Attorney's Office.
