LANSDOWNE, Md. - The first day of school for most Baltimore area students is Monday.
That means children will be getting their backpacks and school supplies ready for next week. That can be a challenge for some families, but is no longer a worry thanks to the Preston Mitchum Jr. Foundation . The foundation handed out around 300 backpacks filled with school supplies to families and community organizations as part of the foundation’s 10th annual Back-to-School campaign.
As of today, 900 backpacks have been distributed.
