It is day two of summer and the two hottest days so far this season. Local officials in Baltimore County are urging residents to cool off at the beach and offering some great rates to do it.
The Department of Recreation and Parks say children 11 and under are admitted to the county's beaches for free. The rates for adults and families are reasonable for the summer months. Check out the list at Baltimore County's government website.
The county has 200 miles of shoreline, more than 70 marinas, 14 fishing piers and a lot more.
State beaches also offer comparable pricing for families looking to get a break from the heat.
