TOWSON, Md. - The officer involved in a shooting that injured a police trainee in February has been indicted on two counts.
The investigation began after the shooting on February 12 at the Rosewood Center in Owings Mills. The investigation revealed that City Police Officer Kern fired a shot that injured a police recruit during a training exercise at the center.
The Baltimore County State's Attorney's Office has requested that the Baltimore City Police Department suspend any Internal Affairs investigation until the completion of the criminal case.
