Towson, MD - There is big Wal-Mart.

And little tiny Wal-Mart, that fits in the palm of your hand.

On little Wal-Mart you can even find a deal of the day.

There's big Target.

And little tiny Target....complete with price lists of their sales for Black Friday.

Welcome to the world of quick shopping, price comparison and yet another emerging role for the smart phone....black friday buster.

“I don't go out on black Friday because it's too crowded and stuff but I definitely go to the stores and go Google it look on Amazon." Alex Branch says.

The smart phone is becoming such a big part of shopping that this year many stores are even dishing out extra deals exclusively for mobile users...

Big ToysRUs.

Little ToysRUs.

If you're here on Thursday night they're offering extra deals for smart phone users.

“There's a technology dimension that the online people are adding beyond just the selection issues and the price issue.”

Towson University Marketing Professor Thomas Maronick says that while camping out on Black Friday is fun, in this economy price is the driving factor for many shoppers.

And the stores are constantly pitching low prices to get you out.

Online merchants such as Amazon, Buy.com and even Ebay are helping determine the price that consumers will pay.

"I'll go to all different websites and find what I need. Go to EBay got to Amazon Google shop compare prices find the lowest one." Joe Lewandowski says.

“What you're going to see is the brick and mortar folks doing price matching but they're price matching Best Buy is price matching target or Wal-Mart but you walk in and say you price match right I can get this same item on Amazon for 50 bucks less with free shipping and they'll say yeah we'll match that that's probably a year away in my judgment."  Maronick says.

Many folks now go to brick and mortar stores just to look at items that they've already scoped out on line.

They want deals not clever ads.

“Most of the time you find on line coupons and stuff like that and it's usually always cheaper than what they advertise in the store.”

Steven Flowers says.

If you are going to brave the lines, you might want to subscribe to things like Four Square, Groupon and like the store you’re targeting on Facebook.

Many merchants are experimenting this year with special mobile door busters of their own....so if you are camping out take your phone and you might find a better deal.
