DULANEY VALLEY, Md. - Locked and loaded for a cure, that's what they're aiming for at the loch raven skeet and trap center in Dulaney Valley.
"If you're a rookie like me, never shot or even held a gun before tonight, they'll give you one on one instruction."
Then it's off to the range and after several unsuccessful attempts at the target, you might get lucky like me.
Tonight they were lined up getting their hunter safety certificates, but next month organizers hope you'll join them in raising money for the Susan G. Komen Maryland affiliate. The idea is already a hit.
"I think it's a great idea. I actually have a friend who has gone through breast cancer and she is a survivor and it's a wonderful that they're doing it.
We decided to do something that is different and unique and give somebody an opportunity to take out their aggression on breast cancer. So we're giving people the opportunity to shoot breast cancer."
Here they are kicking off breast cancer awareness month with a bang. You can have a little fun and raise money at the same time. It’s October first and second. There are many ways to donate. You can get all the information by clicking on the Shoot for a Cure link . All the money raised will go to Komen Maryland.
