TOWSON, Md. (WMAR) - A new WalMart Super Center in Randallstown promises to bring hundreds of jobs to Baltimore County.
County executive Kevin Kamentez said the number of jobs is 350, to be exact.
The new super center, built at Liberty Plaza in Randallstown is scheduled to open on October 17.
In making the announcement, Kamenetz highlighted a special
WalMart Jobs Hotline (410-887-4666) set up by the County to streamline the application and interview scheduling process.
"Enthusiasm is high in Randallstown as the new WalMart Super Center is getting closer to reality," said Kamenetz said. "As exciting as the new store is, it's these 350 new jobs that will have the greatest impact on the community."
WalMart's human resources staff is working with the Department of Economic Development's workforce development team to recruit and interview for the associate positions. These are permanent, hourly jobs, with both full and part time positions available. Jobs include sales associates, cashiers, inventory associates, overnight stockers, lawn and garden specialists, deli, bakery and grocery workers.
