OVERLEA, Md. - The inner loop has reopened after a deadly crash brought traffic to a stand still for several hours Monday afternoon.
Baltimore County Fire dispatchers confirm one person died in the crash. It happened on the inner loop of I-695 near the Belair Road exit around 11:30 a.m.
Maryland State Police say four vehicles, including a tractor trailer were involved.
State police said its preliminary investigation revealed that a blue 1999 Honda Accord, owned and operated by Rick Carl Eisenacher, 51, of Baltimore, was involved in a motor vehicle accident with a white Chevy passenger car operated by Eric D. Weller, Lutherville, Maryland and a red 2006 Kenworth Tractor Trailer operated by Jason S. Rust, of Indiana.
Eisenacher was declared dead at the scene, while all other motorists involved in the accident refused medical treatment, state police said.
