ARBUTUS, Md. - Several people were injured after a fight in Walmart resulted in a hazmat situation Saturday morning
At 10:48am Baltimore County Police responded to the WalMart store in the 3600-block of Washington Boulevard for a fight. According to police, officers found two women fighting inside the store.
During the fight, the women started to throw bleach and Pine-Sol on each other resulting in toxic fumes that injured several people and forced the evacuation of the store.
Fire, EMS and Hazmat units were dispatched to the scene as well as ten medics.
Officials say 19 people received treatment including one person who was taken to the Wilmer Eye Institute and two others who were taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Police arrested Theresa Monique Jefferson, 33, when she turned herself in at the Wilkens precinct following the assault. Jefferson has been charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, theft under $100 and malicious destruction of property. She is being held on $350,000 bail.
Police say the assault was a result of an ongoing dispute between Jefferson and the victim because the victim's current boyfriend has a child in common with the Theresa Jefferson.
