Girl, 12, hit by car on way to school

BALTIMORE (WMAR) -
A 12-year-old girl is recovering after she was hit by a vehicle this morning on her way to school.
Police say the girl is a student at Stemmer's Run Middle School and was on her way when she was hit at the intersection of Stemmers Run Road and Eastern Avenue at about 8:00 a.m.
The girl was taken to a local hospital where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
While the driver of the car remained at the scene, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
