REISTERSTOWN, Md. - Baltimore County firefighters needed help from Carroll County firefighters overnight to knock down a two alarm apartment fire that spread to 11 units in Reisterstown.
The fire broke out around 2 am Friday and was in The Preserve at Owings Crossing Apartment Homes (3-story apartment building) located directly behind Future Care Cherrywood Nursing Home.
Fire was coming through the roof when firefighters arrived on the scene. The fire was so intense that all firefighters were pulled from the building.
The fire was knocked down by 2:40, and was under control by 5:25.
Two people were taken to Northwest Hospital. Officials believe they were having problems breathing.
They weren't residents of the building that caught fire, but did live in the complex.
