BALTIMORE - Notre Dame of Maryland University is officially welcoming its new president today, Dr. James Conneely. He's the first man to hold the position in the school's 117 year history.
Students, faculty and local community leaders have been invited to attend the ceremony, according to the school. The formal ceremony includes a procession with student and faculty award winners, international students and alumni.
Guests also include Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and past Notre Dame presidents including Mary Pat Seurkamp and Dorothy Brown.
Dr. Conneely has been in office since July 1.
