ABC2 News’ education reporter, Sherrie Johnson was live in Owings Mills on Monday morning with Daryl Smith and a preview for an upcoming event planned to help local youth.

Dreams of Tomorrow is a art expo and jazz event aimed to inspire local youth.  It will feature performances by Isaac Parham, saxophonist; Domick Graham, vocalist; Terrence and Terrell Marcus, vocalists; Greg Alexander, actor/comedian, among others.

Smith is a retired major league baseball player who devotes his time to helping inner city youth. He focuses on mentorship programs -- youth advocacy and charitable contributions.

Event Details

The Dreams of Tomorrow will be held on Sunday, February 12th. Doors open at 2pm -- the event runs from 3pm to 6pm at the Gordon Arts Performance Theater in Owings Mills.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation and other Baltimore youth charities including a group home for girls.
