MARYLAND LINE, Md. - An early morning crash on a major highway sent three people to the hospital and created a traffic headache for many drivers.
The crash, involving three tractor trailers, happened just before exit 36 on I-83 South.
It happened shortly before 4 a.m. According to Maryland State Police, a tractor trailer crossed over the median and hit another truck head on. Then a third truck crashed into the other two.
All three people taken to the hospital are critically injured.
After hours of clean-up, all southbound lanes are now open.
