A serious accident involving a school bus shut down a portion of Greenspring Avenue near Stevenson Friday morning.
Officials say the bus overturned with students on board. It was headed to Pikesville Middle School and is contracted from Woodlawn Motorcoach.
Greenspring Avenue between Greenspring Valley Road and Hillside Road was shut down as crews worked the scene. Medical personnel began arriving at around 7:30 a.m.
At least one adult and five children were transported to local hospitals with injuries officials say are believed to be minor. Officials say there were total of 10 children on the bus.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
