CATONSVILLE, Md. - A 17-year-old from the Catonsville area died after being struck by a car Sunday night, Baltimore County police said.
According to police, officers and fire personnel responded at 10:23 p.m. to the 6400 block of Baltimore National Pike for a pedestrian struck. Sahara Malishan, 17, of the 900 block of Wildwood Parkway was transported to Shock Trauma, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said crash investigators determined that the victim was walking in one of the travel lanes on Baltimore National Pike when she was struck by a 2013 Mazda 6 traveling eastbound. The driver, a 62-year-old man, remained at the scene.
No citations have been issued and the crash remains under investigation.
