LANSDOWNE, Md. - UPDATE -- Thirteen adults and 14 children were displaced in a two-alarm apartment fire in Landsdowne, fire officials said.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury to his hand. No civilians were injujred.
The displaced residents are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
Firefighters were called to the unit block of Silerton Road at about 12:30 p.m. First responders were were unable to attack the fire from the inside.
The blaze was placed under control at about 1:50 p.m., fire officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
ORIGINAL -- Baltimore County fire department crews are on the scene of an apartment building fire in Lansdowne.
The fire broke out at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday at 2 Silerton Road, county fire officials report. Residents have been evacuated and no reports of any injuries at this time.
