Southbound I-83 was closed early Thursday morning near York Road in Parkton following an accident involving a tractor-trailer and at least 10 other vehicles.
Officials say the truck involved was carrying flour. The accident happened at around 6 a.m.
Few details are available, but we know medics were called to the scene. Officials said the did not expect SB I-83 in the area to reopen during rush hour.
The best alternate route is/was York Road. Traffic cameras showed a backup all the way to the Maryland/Pennsylvania line.
I-83 was reopened by 10 a.m.
