Isaac is having an impact on gas prices, and our area is no exception.
Marylanders are paying 10 cents more at the pump than just one week ago.
Why?
Experts say the local increase in cost could be related to the closures of refineries in Isaac’s path.
AAA says despite the increase, the holiday weekend is shaping to be a big one, especially locally. The agency expects more than 650,000 Marylanders will be traveling this holiday weekend.
“It seems Marylanders are resilient when it comes to traveling. They want to get away. Especially, for many, this is the last trip for the summer that they’ll take for this year.”
AAA says on average, the price of a gallon of regular gas will cost you 3.79 in Maryland right now.
