TOWSON, MD - Mosquitos are pesky and annoying bugs. They will be around until the first frost. The Baltimore County Department of Health has some tips to protect you from mosquito bites.
First, Apply insect repellant to exposed skin.
Second, Spray clothing with repellents.
Third, Wear long sleeved shirts and pants whenever you are outdoors.
Fourth, Consider staying indoors at dawn, dusk and in the early evening, which are peak mosquito biting times.
And finally, Drain sources of standing water near your home, including flowerpots, bird baths, swimming pool covers, buckets and barrels.
Doctors say vitamin B and ultrasonic devices are not effective in preventing mosquito bites.
